Hello - I am Charlie Crisp. I have been playing the bass in a band for at least 35 years. I bought my first Fender bass guitar and amp when I was 15 years old for $300.00; that was in 1972. I still play that Fender bass today. Every bass I own is a Fender save one which is a BC Rich. I use Boomer strings most of the time. My amplifiers include: Mesa Boogie, Fender, Peavey and SWR. I mainly use the Peavey amp to create that country sound. The greatest musical influence in my life is my dad, Ray Crisp. He has played fiddle with some of country musics best. Kitty Wells, Johnny and Jack, Roy Acuff, Ray Price and Patsy Cline only to name a few. My first paying show was with Pleasant Company in the early 70's. The next band I played with was Iron Station from the years of 1979 until about 1984. Those were both country music bands with a small amount of Southern Rock. After Iron Station, a band called Peril was formed and I was asked to play bass. Peril played some copy tunes but wrote and played their own material. In 1990, Peril disbanded and High Caliber started. I played with High Caliber up until 2005. High Caliber played Southern Rock, Country and mostly Top 40 music. I now play with Coldshot. This band was put together in the beginning for fun but now seems to be headed in a more committed direction. I am looking forward to the road ahead and I am axious to see where it leads. We are a band with lots of energy and willing to please all those who are listening. If you hear us and like us, please let us know. We love to hear from our fans. You can shoot me an Email at charlie.crisp@coldshotband.com Thanks for checking us out, Charlie
