Hey Guys, it's yours truly Matt Branch. I'm the lead vocalist and rythm guitarist for Coldshot. I started singing when I was about 10 years old. Like many vocalists, I started in church. Gospel music has been a great influence in my life but I have always had that "county boy" passion for good country and southern rock music. With that being said let me take time to mention some of my music heroes...George Jones, Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean. There are many more and the list could go on. Music is a passion for me not just a hobby. My wish at every show is that the songs I sing somehow in someway find a place in your heart. I hope it brings back a precious memory, makes you laugh or cry or just makes you wanna let out a big "HELL YEA!!!" If I accomplish that, who needs fame and furtune? (although it would be nice) If Coldshot can do that for you, that would make us as rich as any true musician could ever hope to be. Without y'all, we are nothing.
Now for my guitar. I play a Fender accoustical/electric dreadnaught cutaway with a 3 band e.q. and master volume controls with a natural finish. I have replaced the standard bridge pins with solid brass and mother of pearl inlay bridge pins which really help bring out the tone. I also use Elixir pollyweb light gauge strings. You can't beat'em. Great for rythm work and just plan pickin'.
